Dan Ball is a dynamic host and anchor for the CBS News team in Palm Springs. He has hosted shows such as DVD Tip Sheet and, live from the red carpet, has covered the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, and the Palm Springs Film Festival. Dan has also participated in and reported from many charity golf tournaments in the desert like the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and the Skins game. Dan also hosts Desert Homebuilders, an hour-long real estate buying guide, which airs weekly on CBS. In addition, Dan frequently hosts CBS2’s Eye on the Desert, which covers entertainment and Hollywood with extensive celebrity interviews.

Most recently Dan was the morning anchor at the CBS station in Fresno, California. Previously he has reported and anchored in many different cities, such as Philadelphia, Grand Rapids, MI and Toledo, Ohio.

Dan received his broadcast training while in the United States Air Force. During his enlistment, he worked as a television and radio journalist and combat cameraman.

In his spare time Dan enjoys boating, camping, sightseeing, eating fine food, and taking naps after working those early hours. Dan also manages to hold a second career, selling real estate.
